Livewire, TaylorMade-adidas Golf Sign Exclusive Agreement

Pro shops and sporting goods outlets to get interactive kiosks

Livewire Kiosk has signed an exclusive agreement with TaylorMade-adidas Golf, of Carlsbad, California to develop a nationwide network of up to 1500 interactive marketing kiosks.

The two companies will work together to provide participating golf shops and sporting goods stores with TaylorMade-branded kiosks that will deliver product information, compelling content, and interactive capabilities in one integrated system.

Livewire’s proven success with kiosk content development and deployment allows TaylorMade-adidas Golf to focus on adding value for our retailers through the innovative use of technology. We look forward to providing consumers and retailers with the most relevant and up-to-date interactive content available via the Livewire kiosk”.

According to Roy Smith, Livewire’s President, “We’re very proud to be working with TaylorMade on such an important project. We view the golf industry as an excellent expansion from our success in the ski industry. As the fastest growing of the top golf companies, TaylorMade has the momentum and marketing savvy that we believe is crucial to the success of this project.”

Smith continued “Livewire’s mission is to ‘enable e-commerce where it is most convenient to the consumer’ and this project meets that requirement, in spades. In addition to product education and golf-centric content such as weather, handicaps, and tournament scores, golfers who use the TaylorMade kiosk will be able to access contests, instructional programs, and offers not available anywhere else . Our goal is to make the TaylorMade kiosk a valued amenity that golfers will go out of their way to visit”.

Livewire Kiosk is best known as the predominant supplier of e-commerce kiosks to the ski industry, having placed over 100 units in U.S. ski shops from Maine to California. During the 2001-2002 ski season, 30 additional kiosks were deployed in Colorado and used to sell lift tickets for resorts such as Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Winter Park, and Keystone, among others.

Following a pilot program during this summer, Livewire and TaylorMade expect to fully deploy the kiosks in advance of the 2003 golf season.  Livewire Kiosk is a kiosk solutions company based in York, PA. Founded in 1998, Livewire provides an innovative new medium to automate e-commerce, provide interactive branding opportunities & travel info, drive sales and provide other related customer services.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
